Good Shepherd New Zealand
“I didn’t think there was any way out of my situation. Now I feel like I have options and my motivation is returning.”
We exist to help women, girls and their families who are experiencing harm and hardship. We want them to be safe, strong, well and connected.
Good Shepherd is here for women, girls and their families
We deliver services that support people to improve their wellbeing, and drive changes to unjust systems that hold people back. Our core work relates to financial wellbeing.
Many people and families in New Zealand do not have strong financial wellbeing. For example, they do not have enough money to live comfortably, have no savings for assets or emergencies, and have unmanageable and/or unjust debt. This harms people’s wellbeing and holds them back from leading full lives.
We focus on solving social problems in a holistic way and direct our efforts where people and society can get the best return on our investment.
