Good Shepherd NZ is a charitable non-government organisation that was established to address the critical, contemporary issues facing women, girls and families.
Good Shepherd has been supporting better futures for women, girls and families experiencing disadvantage in New Zealand for 130 years, led by the Good Shepherd Sisters. Good Shepherd NZ was established in 2012 to continue the Sisters’ work.
Good Shepherd NZ is part of a global network spanning more than 70 countries, and Good Shepherd International has Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations for its work with women and girls.
Good Shepherd NZ is part of the Good Shepherd Australia & New Zealand network, and draws on the collective expertise within this network, especially in the areas of economic participation and wellbeing, safety and resilience, working closely with Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand.
