New client enquiries
It’s best to use an enquiry form. This helps us to give you answers as soon as possible and find the right person to help.
We want to help as many people as we can but are unable to assist with a loan if:
- Work and Income can help with the purchase
- you are on Single Jobseeker Support Benefit
- your only income is from self-employment
- you are not able to afford your family’s essential weekly expenses – like rent, food, power, phone – and the weekly loan repayments.
We are also temporarily unable to assist with loans that consolidate debt:
We have temporarily paused taking new enquiries for loans that consolidate and help to manage high-interest debt. We are experiencing unprecedented levels of demand in the lead-up to Christmas and are prioritising client enquiries already received. We will revisit this in the New Year.
If you can’t currently get a loan or need urgent financial support:
- contact Work and Income to see if a grant or advance is available to you
- visit MoneyTalks to find your nearest free financial mentor. They may be able to help you get in a stronger financial position to successfully apply for a loan
- visit Family services directory to find other social services in your area who may be able to assist.
