Beryl’s work includes leading responses to economic harm and working alongside partners to strengthen system approaches that improve safety, inclusion, and financial resilience.
With a background in psychology and family violence prevention, Beryl brings a strong understanding of the drivers and impacts of financial hardship and economic abuse. She has extensive experience across the financial wellbeing and family violence sectors, including over a decade in roles spanning crisis intervention, peer service development, training, and the delivery of community-based financial support and lending initiatives.
Beryl has contributed to sector-wide practice development and guidance to improve how organisations support people experiencing financial harm and abuse, including work that has informed safer financial service responses and strengthened approaches to financial wellbeing across the sector. She is committed to practical, people-centred approaches that support system change and improve outcomes for women, girls, and whānau.
