Lisa McCauley

Lisa leads our research and evaluation efforts. This includes understanding our clients and their context, and measuring the impact we make.

Lisa has worked in the research and evaluation field for over 25 years. This includes reviews of social programmes in areas such employment, justice, and harm reduction. She has worked for NZ Police, the Ministry of Social Development, and a range of community-based groups and not-for-profit organisations.

Lisa has a particular interest in social justice and equity issues, particularly for women, girls, and LGBTQI+ rainbow community. She studied gender and diversity in her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. As part of her MA, her data analysis fuelled a national UN-related campaign celebrating women’s suffrage in NZ.

Lisa has a comprehensive understanding of research and evaluation theories and methodologies, analytical approaches, and research ethics. She brings a rigorous, evidence-based, and thoughtful approach to her work. She is strong conceptual thinker. Lisa is also good at making complex data understandable and accessible.

Lisa has an applied Master of Arts in Social Science Research and a graduate diploma in journalism. She also has a BA in History, with a specific focus on NZ history and race relations.
