Lisa leads our research and evaluation efforts so we can understand our clients and their context, and measure the impact of our work.
Over 25 years working in research and evaluation has seen Lisa reviewing social programmes in employment, justice, and harm reduction. She has worked with NZ Police, the Ministry of Social Development, and a range of community-based groups and not-for-profit organisations.
Lisa has a particular interest in social justice and equity issues affecting women, girls, and the LGBTQI+ rainbow community. She studied gender and diversity in her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Lisa has an applied Master of Arts in Social Science Research and a graduate diploma in journalism. She also has a BA in History, with a specific focus on New Zealand history and race relations. Data analysis as part of her MA fuelled a national UN-related campaign celebrating women’s suffrage in New Zealand.
Lisa has a comprehensive understanding of theories and methodologies, analytical approaches, and research ethics. She brings a rigorous, evidence-based and thoughtful approach to her work. She is a strong conceptual thinker skilled at making complex data easier to understand and interpret.
