It’s important to understand the often invisible factors that influence the way we view and engage with money.

Start by choosing a topic

This part of the toolkit has seven topics that you can choose from.

If you’re stuck, we recommend starting from the beginning.

We explore different attitudes and learned behaviours towards money, to understand the reasons why we feel the way we do about money.

Gendered social norms of what it means to be a woman or man can profoundly influence the way couples behave within a relationship.

Privilege and power influence the way you manage and make decisions in intimate partner relationships.

It is unlikely that many people will go through life without experiencing some sort of trauma, challenge or difficulty.

We explore different relationship events and their potential impact on you and your partner’s financial relationship.

It is important to appreciate the other contributions made to the relationship – not all value is visible like money.

Before launching into a conversation, it is important to understand how you feel about your own financial situation.
